Restriction of rail traffic

We want to inform you about the current situation and effects.

Important updates

The repair of damage from a dreailment in the Alte Süderelbe station section is leading to significant restrictions.
The work was carried out on Sunday, 27.10.2024 from 07:00 a.m. to 05:00 p.m., tracks were closed, shunting to CTA terminal were not possible.
As a result, significant traffic jams have occurred, some trains had to be parked outside Hamburg, the rerouting is being clarified in coordination with the Hamburg Port Authority (HPA).
The processing backlog at the CTA terminal is around 35 hours.
Further delays and train cancellations are to be expected.

Delivery times or fixed dates cannot be guaranteed; these require unhindered transport by rail or road traffic.
